Reel Works and A+E Host Rising Professionals at Career Day

Rising professionals connect with industry leaders and discover pathways into unscripted television.

On Friday, March 14 2025, Reel Works teamed up with A+E Factual Studios™ to host a Career Day focused on highlighting the various roles that bring unscripted television to life. MediaMKRS alum Alondra Jimenez led the event alongside Tony Harris, host of History’s popular series The Proof is Out There, who moderated an engaging discussion for 20 aspiring young filmmakers.

Industry Leaders Share Their Journeys

The event featured six industry professionals from The Proof is Out There team who shared their unique career paths and insights. Attendees were treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage that demonstrated the collaborative nature of unscripted television production.

Panelists covered various career opportunities including:

  • Producing roles and responsibilities

  • Development processes for new show concepts

  • Technical production positions

  • Post-production workflow and editing techniques

  • Distribution and marketing strategies

Key Takeaways for Rising Professionals

A recurring theme throughout the discussions was the critical importance of networking and interpersonal skills in the media industry.

Making Meaningful Connections

Following the panel discussions, attendees had the opportunity to connect with panelists in small groups and one-on-one conversations. These informal discussions happened alongside fun trivia that tested participants’ knowledge while keeping the atmosphere fun and engaging.

Several lucky attendees took home exclusive prizes provided by A+E Factual Studios™!
