MediaMKRS - College Finances and Motivation Workshop

MediaMKRS held a workforce class on Friday, December 13th covering the student-requested topics of College Finances and Motivation. One student identified praise as their main motivator:

"I'm never told that I'm doing something right even though I know I'm doing it right. I think that public praise feels nice because it gives me the validation I never receive."

Another identified working on projects as a motivator:

"In Reel Works, I have found ways to motivate myself to finish my films. Hopefully, that motivation factor will push me to keep doing my best and to do good work and good in the world."

In regards to College Financial Literacy, students learned:

"...that you really need to have a plan when going into the college world. Gaining awareness of all that is available to us [to finish college] and all that follows us after we graduate was impactful."
