Young Filmmakers Win Best Cinematography at NYC's Premier Teen Film Festival 2024

Two emerging Brooklyn filmmakers captured Best Cinematography at the 2024 Reel Works Film Festival, NYC's leading showcase for youth-created films. Daniel Jo and Pauline Zhang's external film submission, "Five Minutes," impressed judges with its masterful visual storytelling.

As independent creators in the External Films category, the duo brought their unique vision to life. "Looking down and realizing that we have just been rewarded for our film is beyond imagination," they reflect.

Their success highlights Reel Works' mission of empowering young filmmakers through hands-on media education and mentorship in New York City. Now planning their next project with an expanded crew, Daniel and Pauline exemplify how emerging artists can thrive with proper support.

Their message to aspiring teen filmmakers? "Trust in yourself and give your film love – it needs your own support so that your crafts can continue to grow!"
