Movie of the Week: Lucid Dreams by Sophia Dennison Murray

A medley of archival footage and footage shot by Sophia Dennison-Murray, the film shows a subject having lucid dreams. Lucid dreams allow you to take control of your own narrative in the dream state. Scenes from both recent memories interwoven with other footage, Lucid Dreams takes you on a non-sequential story, very similar to how real dreams tend to defy certain structures and confines.The film ends with the person waking up in bed and drawing the curtains.The Summer Lab is a four-week intensive experimental filmmaking workshop for rising 9th and 10th graders.
