Even there I wasn’t even deemed beautiful.”One Bite was directed by Camryn Mina (Director Fellow), produced by Devin Halbal (Produce Fellow), edited by Javon Peters (Editor Fellow), and shot by Ian Chen (Cinematographer Fellow). These productions introduced me to so many more aspects of filmmaking and the film industry that had been invisible to me before. In terms of camera, I learned of various professional cameras and lenses where I had previously only known and worked with DSLRs. I learned how to coordinate with my gaffer, grip, and boom operator off and on set. I learned how to collaborate with the director -- how to listen and understand the director's vision and then bring it to life.” - Ian Chen, Cinematographer Fellowscreen shot 2019-01-28 at 12.41.07 pmThe Reel Works Fellows is made possible through the support of The Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation.
