“My biggest goal in life? I would have to say perfection… everyone says it’s impossible but I just want to perfect, well liked, and successful.”

“Void of Fame” by Jada Hairston discusses how the demand of social media made one young woman try to seek perfection, only to realize that perfection lies in the eye of the beholder.

Jada shares, “What I liked about the class the most was the sense of community we had. I felt comfortable to ask questions and to come in frequently. I also liked how flexible and understanding everyone was. It’s an amazing program and I would love to continue to participate in other Reel Works programs because of how awesome the Documentary Lab was.”

Reel Works presents “Movie of the Week” to showcase the exemplary films made by our young filmmakers. If you’d like to get early access to the Narrative Lab films, join us on Patreon where you can support the film careers of emerging media professionals like Jada!
