Movie of the Week: Never As It Seems

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVMditFinR8Never As It Seems by Osarugue Faith Adu“From a young age I had become so used to being different, being the only star, the performer. But the first time in my life I was surrounded kids just as, if not more talented, than I was. Instead of being the only Beyonce, I was surrounded by them.”Never As It Seems by Osarugue Faith Adu (Mentor: Lauren Evangelista) tells the story of a young artist in a prestigious performing arts high school struggling to understand where she belongs. Osarugue shares her experience in the Spring Lab: “I wish I had spent more time at the program because I don't think I got as much as I could out of it, with senior year and performing mostly always being in the way. But towards then end when I had time to meet with mentors, the adults at Reel Works and even my Reel Works' peers to help bring my movie all together, the process was just wonderful!! It was a wonderful opportunity that I would recommend to any teenager that's interested in films.”Reel Works presents “Movie of the Week” to showcase the exemplary films made by our young filmmakers.
