Movie of the Week: The Future Speaks Now

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N9smdi0y6kThe Future Speaks Now by Lucas Hoye“The 2016 presidential election is one of the most divisive elections in our nation’s history. Everybody has something to say about it and they got to express their opinion in their vote. However, being that the voting age in this country is 18. That leaves out a significant number of people, the nation’s youth.”The Future Speaks Now by Lucas Hoye (Mentor: Charles Thomas Hoxie) explores the viewpoints of teenagers who were too young to vote in the recent election during the wake of Donald Trump’s presidency. Lucas described the process of creating his film: “I interviewed a bunch of kids from my school after the inauguration. Then I worked with my Reel Works teachers and mentor to edit it all together into the final project.” Reel Works presents “Movie of the Week” to showcase the exemplary films made by our young filmmakers.
