Meet our new Chair, Dave Bernath!

On behalf of the board, staff, students and volunteers at Reel Works, I'm delighted to welcome Dave Bernath, Executive Vice President, Program Strategy & Multiplatform Programming at Comedy Central to the chair of Reel Works' board of directors!Dave has the unenviable job of following the brilliant Ben Marks, who's visionary leadership guided Reel Works through our transformation from a tiny former project of the YMCA to the thriving nonprofit that today serves over 500 youth citywide and reached over a million viewers worldwide.A veteran TV executive, Dave is committed to giving young people a voice and sharing their stories with the world. As Vice Chair he has raised tens of thousands of dollars for our programs, helped Reel Works build stronger ties with NYC's film and television industry, and lead us through a time of remarkable growth. I'm delighted to share his vision for a Reel Works that trains young filmmakers from middle school through high school and college and into careers.Dave's leadership team includes Empire Entertainment President J.B. Miller as Vice Chair; American Express' Director, Global Data Quality Assurance & Governance Simone S. Hoyte, CPA as Treasurer and attorney Jessica Lee of Loeb & Loeb LLP as Secretary.
