Dual Language Doc Lab

Reel Works invites NYC Youth to apply to the Dual Language Doc Lab this summer. Over 5 weeks, learn to use cameras, lighting, and sound to tell a story of family heritage, women’s empowerment, or the importance of mental health as teenagers. All workshops will be in Spanish and English. A stipend is provided to participants in the Lab. Applicants must be 15-20 years old.

Workshop Meet & Greet: Tuesday, May 28th and Saturday, June 8th

Workshop Days and Times: Every Monday through Thursday from July 8th to August 8th, 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM

When: Starts July 8th & Ends August 8th

Eligibility:

New York City Resident
Must be between the ages of 15 - 21-years-old
Must reside within commuter distance of Reel Works
Must be willing to try new things
Motivated and eager to explore technology
Ability to explore technology independently, as well as part of a group
Must demonstrate an aptitude for art
Ability to travel independently and in small group settings
