The Documentary Lab

MAKE A FILM! WORK WITH A PRO! TELL YOUR STORY!

The Documentary Lab is an intensive, 24-week after-school filmmaking workshop offered to high school students in NYC. This is a free introductory course to documentary filmmaking; no previous experience is necessary. Students will be paired 1:1 with a professional filmmaker mentor to plan, shoot, edit, and present a short personal film about their lives and communities. The course culminates in a special screening of student works. Applicants will be interviewed before entering the program, as we have limited spots.

This workshop is a program that will meet in-person at Reel Works' office in Brooklyn, New York.
