A 48-Hour Film Challenge with Reel Works Fellows
16 young filmmakers from our Fellows 2020 cohort had an exciting month getting to know their instructors and completing 3 films as part of a 48-hour film challenge. After gathering together to learn the constraints of their challenge, screenwriters began writing scripts, producers anticipated possible problems/solutions and directors/cinematographers started thinking about locations for their shoots the following day. Professional actors were brought in for the 3 hours shoots. And the following day, editors and directors finalized the films.
Fellows are looking forward to Feb 28th when each student will be matched with a mentor, a caring adult who provides them support throughout the year of their fellowship. The Reel Works Fellows Program is possible thanks to funding support from The Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation.
