Winter Social at Reel Works

Our first Annual Winter Social brought together industry leaders and professional filmmakers throughout New York City to Reel Works to take steps together to become changemakers. Reel Works after school programs pair students 1:1 with a professional filmmaker-mentor to write, shoot and edit their film. Filmmaker-mentors are volunteers who provide their experience and knowledge to provide guidance for the next generation of storytellers. Reel Futures Media Internships trains and places teens and young adults into paid internships at NYC media companies. Through our programs, over half of our graduates work in the media and entertainment industry. By hosting a Reel Futures intern, industry leaders help train the next generation of media makers.
