Fall Lab 2013 Screening Highlights

Thanks to HBO for hosting Reel Works' Fall 2013 Lab Graduation Screening on Friday, April 11th, 2014!

Over 220 friends, family and filmmakers joined the celebration as 11 young filmmakers shared their powerful, personal documentaries. From Catherine Cruz's Los Fuertes - which documented how strength and love helped her and her family overcome challenges - to Rama Beidak's powerful look at how the children caught up in the war in Syria - to Jhovanny Bisono's courageous story of overcoming depression - each film opened  a world that was powerful, personal and startlingly original.Said one mentor, "I can speak for all of the mentors here when I say I learned just as much from these kids as they did from us."Watch All Fall 2013 Lab Films Now! The Lab is the first step for Reel Works filmmakers to find their voices and tell theirs stories to the world.  Each teen is matched 1:1 with professional filmmaker-mentors.  Like all Reel Works programs, The Lab is free.Thank you to all those who attended and for supporting these wonderful young filmmakers!
